What behaviour support in Blacktown involves

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an evidence-based, NDIS-funded approach that starts with observation, because behaviour often signals a need. That could mean a smoother bedtime or a calmer outing.

We work with children, teenagers and adults across Blacktown, at home, at school, at work and in the community.

Families, carers and support workers are part of every step. We coach them so the strategies carry on between our visits.

  • Working towards calmer, more predictable days for your family
  • Clear steps that family, school and support workers can share
  • Practitioners who visit you across Blacktown and nearby suburbs
  • A registered NDIS provider for all ages

How it works

How we work with you, from referral to review

Each step builds on the last, wherever you live around Blacktown.

  1. Referral and first phone call

You or your coordinator refer online. We call to hear more and book a first meeting.

  2. Functional Behaviour Assessment

We spend time with the person and those who know them to learn what the behaviour is for.

  3. Strategy development and trial

We draft strategies with you, try them in daily life and keep what helps.

  4. Behaviour Support Plan

We bring it together in a plan for day-to-day use.

  5. Implementation and training

We show everyone how the plan works and stay close while it settles.

  6. Review and monitoring

We watch how things go and revise the plan when life changes.

Behaviour support in Blacktown, explained

We come to you across Blacktown

We visit Blacktown, Seven Hills, Doonside, Marayong, Kings Langley, Lalor Park and Prospect. Sessions can be at home, at school or at Max Webber Library on Flushcombe Road.

Every plan starts with an assessment

We begin with a Functional Behaviour Assessment, which may use the QABF or a Quality of Life assessment with interviews and observation. It shows what purpose the behaviour serves.

Turning findings into a practical plan

Our findings become a Behaviour Support Plan in everyday language, with proactive strategies, steady responses and skills to build. We train everyone who will use it.

Looking at the person and their surroundings

We combine PBS with the Capable Environment Framework. The framework looks at settings like a Seven Hills home, a busy classroom or a train trip from Blacktown station.

Keeping home and school on the same track

A plan tends to work better when home and school pull in the same direction. With your consent, we share strategies with your child's teacher and learning support team.

How NDIS funding covers behaviour support

Many plans fund it through Capacity Building, under Improved Relationships, though some list it separately. Your coordinator can check, and our fees follow NDIS pricing arrangements.
