Behaviour Support Plan implementation and review in Sydney
We help the participant and their supports put the Behaviour Support Plan into practice, then keep checking how it goes.
How plan implementation and review work
Implementation and review are steps 5 and 6 of our behaviour support process. They continue for as long as we work together.

Putting the Behaviour Support Plan into practice
We coach families, carers and support staff, face to face or online, until everyone feels confident. We send the plan to the NDIS.
-
Reviewing and monitoring the plan
We check the plan, usually every fortnight, and update it as needs change. Restrictive practices stay a last resort, with a goal to reduce them.
We observe at home, at school and in the community
Each review draws on what we see in the places where the participant spends their time.
At home
Seeing how strategies fit into family routines, mealtimes and quiet moments.
At school
Working with teachers and staff to check what is helping across the school day.
In the community
Observing out and about, where new places and people can bring new pressures.
How often we review the plan
We usually visit fortnightly, with extra training or team meetings as needed. Each visit, we check what is working and change what is not.
A fuller review happens when needs or goals shift. A plan with a regulated restrictive practice is reviewed at least every 12 months, under NDIS rules.
