Sofija is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a background in behaviour therapy. She has experience supporting children, adolescents and adults across disability, community and out-of-home care settings.
Assessment and person-centred support
Sofija supports individuals with a range of needs, including autism, intellectual disability, mental health conditions and complex trauma. Her approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, with a strong focus on getting to know each person and understanding their individual strengths, needs, communication style and environment.
She is experienced in conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and developing evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans that aim to reduce risk, build meaningful skills and improve quality of life. Sofija works collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, schools and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical strategies that can be implemented consistently across home, school and community settings.
Helping people feel safe, heard and understood
Sofija is passionate about helping people feel safe, heard and understood while supporting them to build independence and work towards goals that are meaningful to them. Outside work, Sofija enjoys fitness, spending time with family and friends, and travelling and exploring new places.
